I knew today would be a bit busy, so as soon as I had a chance I jumped onto the Xbox One with my son and let him choose what we’d play. His first instinct was for LEGO Dimensions, but I convinced him with a change of tactic (and less requirement to pull out a whole heap of peripherals) and continued the journey in LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga instead.
I only had two chapters of Episode I left, so naturally it seemed like a good hurdle to tackle at 8am on a Saturday, so that’s what I did. Actively encouraged by a three year old to “Be the Robot!” (R2-D2) and “Jump there!” (Even I have to admit, double jumping as Jedi is cool), I managed to defeat Darth Maul and save Naboo for another day.
You can’t underestimate how good the LEGO Games are. I’ve got a whole heap of PlayStation Platinums thanks to LEGO games on the Vita and a long daily commute, but it’s nice to tackle them both again and for the first time on Xbox.
